Applied for an internship with USGS at a water treatment plant/watershed here in NJ a couple of days ago. Just got an back saying that "due to my previous experience, I was not recommended for the position". So I need more field experience to get an internship for more field experience so I can get a job in my major basically. As a junior in college with a bit of field experience and experience in a classroom setting, I feel a bit defeated about this.
I should drop out, buy a rwd shitbox and start drifting.
Jkjk I've come too far to just stop altogether.

That's probably the best piece of advice I've ever gotten.

I freaking hate that. Apache and these two other Tulsa-based Petroleum companies won't give internships to people without field experience but literally everyone else in that job fair also have that policy. LIKE HOW DO I GET EXPERIENCE IF I CAN'T GET THE INTERNSHIP UNLESS I HAVE EXPERIENCE.
I CAN'T COLLEGE.

NJ? Apparently you didn't paperclip a c-note to your application.
